Yeah COM Bard kites should be banned. I remember a couple months back I was trying to FD split a couple mobs for my arena group and some naked and unguilded bard runs by with a swarm, so of course the mobs aggro him. I guess it fucked up his swarm somehow or something because he accused me of training him.

He then I guess turned video on and came and stood by the arena door (the side with the 3 mobs that all aggro with each other) with the bard invis song on so I couldn’t see him. Next time I went to FD split those guys he immediately turned invis off as I FDed and tried to claim I was FD training him. It was pretty sad

What`s annoying is they will announce that they are going to be kiting, then send tells to see where people are , and then still pull their kite right thru where you are, and over you, disrupting what you are doing.

I`m normally in the little hallway through the illusion wall, at the bottom of cloud walkway invs ramp, killing the 4 or 5 statics mobs in the hall, and the 3 pathers.

But after kiting over me in the hallway, taking what I was killing along with his 25 _ mob kite 3 respawns in a row, and me having to FD as they ran over me I just left, and went elsewhere.
The shaman soloing the ramparts ended up leaving too as they took all the mobs on the ramparts but 2 , that they were killing as well.

You encouraged people to screw with bard pulls to potentially get the bard killed because this guy was complaining about a bard pulling through him without your newly stated context, which is something I have personally seen people get suspended for in the past. You can't say 'my mobs' (plural) in CoM because you can only claim 1 mob in an outdoor zone if someone contests them, so other than a mob that you are actively engaged on or keeping down those are not 'my mobs'.

The bard would be at fault for interfering with your engagement if you were already engaged on a specific mob and the bard took it. People should know that if they do as you have instructed in your previous post, depending on the guide that responds, they could eat a 7 day themself for interfering with the bard if they did not take the mob you were specifically engaged on. The whole zone interference thing is also very subjective and subject to the interpretive whim of the responding staff member. In general, it's better and safer to /petition the bard and not screw with their pull once started. You will most likely get a better result than if the staff member finds out you were screwing with their pull.

I stand corrected that CoM is a dungeon according to the PnP. I was responding specifically to Kaitainz' claim that it was an outdoor zone and didn't research further. I'm not one of the bards kiting CoM and have never run into a major camp dispute there. I do, however, stand by my assertion that if you screw with a bard's kite once started and it results in the bard dying, you risk being punished as there is precedent for this. The staff encourages people to communicate and work it out, but not to take the situation into their own hands by unilaterally instituting any kind of punishment or retribution against the offending player as that is the staff's responsibility, not the players.
