Last weekend the weather was terrible. I browsed through some old EQ Screenshots on my external HD and thought what the heck, let's see if there is some old EQ Server around. And here I am.

Hallyguk, former Rallos Zek player, lvl 1 in Oggok. Trying to remember how the game works, finding my way trough the hazy city. Even killed my 1st mob yesterday in Feerott! Damn, like the good old times. Hate the running lizards already...

Im grateful for any hints on what to do to get a good start, things not to do etc.

Any good sites I should read up?
Any guilds that are active during European times?
PvP is disabled here, right? Wonder if there is any pvp server in the EMU world?

Wonder if there is anyone from Rallos Zek here. Gonna try and find some screenshots of our Sleeper kill back in 2003 (iirc)...

Answering both, there is plans for a P99 "red" server and a forum for the fanboys associated with it.

Don't go in the P99 red forum :D

Having levelled a troll, I'd recommend running to Freeport to bind and levelling in Nektulos rather than sticking around in Feerrott/Innothule but its personal choice.

Don't think about 2-boxing here or AFK exp'ing (though powerlevelling is ok), I think they are the golden rules.

I have to admit, I love it. I was a little skeptical at first, but not anymore. It feels pretty damn good!!! Yes, it would be nice to have an upper body to grab on to, but even still... I definitely do not regret the purchase.

You might have done it already, but go through Innothule, South Ro, Oasis, North Ro, East Commons through the tunnel, then to West Freeport and bind on a wall away from the guards.

You could bind in East Freeport (after North Ro) but the good hunting is in Nektulos/EC to begin with...hope you make it in one piece, expect to die a couple of times trying to flee Innothule/South Ro :)

Made it to lvl 15. Almost forgot how long a lvl takes in EQ and how bad shamans have it below 34. BUT: This server rocks. Nice people, a lot of memories. Thanks!
