I'm old, that's my reason fro being.....lazy.
About a year ago my son dragged me into the 21st century, kicking and whining on my part. He provided a cell phone, and is paying the feez :).
I want to use the level up sound from this life altering game as my ring tone. I want the very satisfying sound I hear every time I hit a new level to announce my popularity to the world. Can you imagine the endorphin rush I will get???? The dopamine flush will be wonderful. I will be the center of admiration to all who hear that gratifying sound.
Please help this infirm old man by helping me find that file. My gratitude will be your reward.

Thanks OP in general for being a living embodiment of a gnome.

I get the message that that is a known dangerous website. I don't think you would lead me astray but am reluctant to go there. I'm old and my geekosity has atrophied.

I just setup a downloader from a public youtube download site to convert a youtube audio file into a .wav file for you to put on your phone
Smart to avoid links but I put a secret widget in the UI code to read your bank account info though FYI
But I promise that is a joke and I am a good person with no malicious intent. And that link is safe.

If you want to do it more secure do it like this
Copy this link:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3P1SQYWChIM
?
Then open this google search:
https://www.google.com/search?q=download+youtube+video&oq=download+youtube+video&aqs=chrome.0.69i59l2j0i512l4j69i65j69i61.2706j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
Then pick your youtube downloader (hopefully you get one that is able to do .wav)
paste the link in the url
select .wav file
then your phone should have instructions to use it!
You can use S3DSpy to extract individual WAV files from the .pfs EQ files that contain the game sounds. You want "levelup.wav" from snd2.pfs:

For S3DSpy - you want version 1.3 as apparently 1.2 doesn't work?

It's a public domain sound - hence why you hear it everywhere. I don't see any reason why I can't just attach it to this post.

I like to think I hear it everywhere becase out there (like in the movie fight club) us classic everquest fans are the people the world depends on, we cook their meals, we take out their trash, we connect their calls, we drive their ambulances, we guard them while they sleep.

As a small side note and from personal experience, there is not a faster or surer way to make you loathe a song or sound as placing it in your phone to pop up whenever you are texting, receiving a text or being called.
I killed forever a lot of songs I actually enjoyed it when I had the fad to turn them into ringers or text/pop up notifications haha.
