Looking for a new game. Don't have much in mind other than i typically veer towards RPGs (big surprise there hu?).

I just got a new video card so I should be able to handle any modern game, any suggestions of fun new games?

I just beat Elden Ring and it was fantastic. I've already played all the Souls games, Seikero, and Bloodborn and many other 2010-2020 games. The new Final Fantasy looks pretty lame but I wouldnt mind an old school turn-based RPG either if there is some modern version

I’m totally out of the loop with the newer stuff. I only been playing retro stuff, most recently Baldur’s gate 1 and 2. That being said, Baldur’s Gate 3 isn’t out yet but it’s looking really good when it does come out

Supposedly Pillars of Eternity is good, that’s the only one I recognized. Survival RPG’s have Valheim and v rising

None of these are new, but I recommend Project Zomboid, Rimworld, Darkest Dungeon, and Oxygen not included.

Yea my co-worker won’t shut up about divinity 2, he’s beaten it with every possible combo on tactician difficulty

I will prolly try that if/when I burn out of Baldur’s Gate

In regards to BG3, the reason I say it will be good is that it’s available for early release (act 1) and that’s supposed to be looking good

My brother bought the BG3 early access thing and was disappointed, I trust his takes on these matters

Yeah a turn based RPG game with an incomplete story, classes, spells etc....im waiting for official release, pre-testing a game like that is a great way to ruin the experience for yourself.

Subnautica is a good time, wouldn't recommend the sequel below zero tho, it was pretty meh.

Victoria 3 is decent if you like Paradox games. Still a long way to go because it's a typical PDX game that's more bare bones at release, but it's still entertaining.

Divinity 2 as others mentioned is good. Only downside there is that it feels like every 10 minutes you're coming across gear that's better than yours (whether dropped or via merchants) and unless you're playing on low difficulty you really need to keep pace with those upgrades. So it feels like you're constantly spending 10 minutes re-quipping your party like 3 times an hour.

I totally agree with you about Victoria 3 and Divinity 2, both are great games but have their own unique challenges.

If you like really old ... and by that I mean even pre-EQ old ... I'm talking DOS-old games ... and in particular if you liked the 4x-style games like Civilization or Masters of Orion ... check out the recent remake of Master of Magic:

t6yY3x76KRQ

In short, the original game was a bit like Civilization crossed with Magic: the Gathering ... and the remake is 95% the same as the original, just with better graphics and some gameplay improvements.

This sounds like a good stew!

Kotor's pretty sweet, but I haven't played the reboot. Jedi Knight II was a lot of fun. Placescape: Torment has a good story.

Just been watching the updates. They are using classic EQ as inspiration for a lot of the gameplay/mechanics.

Spelling Bee solver (https://wordfind.org/spelling-bee-solver) is a competition in which contestants are asked to spell words correctly. It is a great way to improve spelling skills and increase vocabulary. It is also a fun and exciting way to challenge yourself and test your knowledge. It is a great activity for all ages and can be a great way to bond with family and friends.
