I love that first comment on YouTube "Professionally done!". No, I don't think putting that kind of music on there makes it professional. Perhaps fade ins / outs of music that belonged to each zone (if it slowly faded in with Velk's Labyrinth music along with footage of the zone, I think it would've been a bit better and more nostalgic). Not to mention how jittery it was, showing the guy filming it had no idea what would happen when he sped it up, and the fact we're treated to random facts that have nothing to do with Velious (maps? pfft, please) instead of something zone relevant.

Ah well... perhaps I'm being too picky. It's still definitely nice to see those zones again, at any rate. Thanks for sharing it. :3

Drakes, spiders, bats, goblins, etc. got updates with the DoN expansion. Sadly, those updates spread into the old worlds :( Lavastorm and Nektulos were also revamped since those lead to the DoN zones.

It's not a bad video, for the most part, and I'm well aware my criticisms are too harsh in general (you should hear the discussions I have regarding the consolization of game design, but that's another thread for another day), but since I am a man who has some pretty high standards and likes to live by them, I base my opinions on them.

I never saw Skyshrine or Temple of Veeshan, since as a Druid, I just popped on over to Cobalt Scar and skipped Wakening Lands, too. So it was nice to see those zones despite the harshness of my posts. So I still appreciate that you shared it. My comments were in no way meant to denigrate you in any way, shape, or form.

Why would you send a video you didnt like to people who didn't even play the game? Either you are lying to try and support your view that a comment on a YouTube video is wrong (which is insane for reasons other than it's just one person's opinion) OR you are in full rage-mode and can't stand that someone would make a positive comment on a video you didn't like.

The video isn't terrible. I probably would have thought less of it if your first post had not set my expectations so low.

It's a video showing some velious zones and raid bosses. It's not a short film. You have likely spent more time complaining about it than the guy took to edit it.

Well, that's a valid complaint. Someone's sexual preference has no relevance to anything except who they want to sleep with/love.

The reality is that it's perfectly ok for a politician in the US to say "I dont think gays should be able to marry." Living with two friends currently looking to get married and seeing what they need to deal with, I've become a lot more aware of how such taunts do contribute to bigotry.

Even in a state that allows gay marriage, they were turned away from a place to hold their reception, simply because they are both women. It's insane that in 2011 people are so hateful of strangers over a matter of who they love.

It's difficult to stop referring to things as "gay," but I think it's a positive step we can all take. Sure, in the company of friends who know completely what context you are using such language it causes no harm, but in any type of public medium I feel a little restraint can go a long way to creating a positive environment for all.

It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't good. I am entitled to constructively and civilly share my opinion. My post only became an issue when the RnF regulars decided I would be a fun target. That's the only time this entire thread became an "issue" and I don't appreciate being scapegoated for it when I was behaving civilly and within the rules of this forum.
