Whenever I started playing EQ years ago on live I never played female toons. Now that I'm older I pretty much view the whole thing as 'who gives a shit' and currently play one just to switch things up from the male models I usually play.

I'll be honest though if I was actually a girl and played here I'd be a bigger whore than Tralina. I would literally send out nudes minus my face for free shit. I think that the girls that play here that get appalled whenever I tell them this are out of their minds. Some of these nerds would fucking fork over real life cash for some attention from a female.

I'm not even high level on the female toon I play and I don't milk the fact that I play a female toon for anything because then shit gets fucking weird, but if someone hands me free buffs or gear I don't even think twice about taking it.

Aside from the fact that it doesn't matter and anyone who draws conclusions about someone because they play a toon of the opposite sex in a video game is retarded . . .I sometimes feel like when I'm talking to female toons, the person assumes I'm being kind only because I think they're female. Which annoys me, because they always throw in an inordinate amount of smilies and such like "girlish" conventions as if to convince you that they're really female. when i found Emu i started with males on PEQ, but rolled female on a whim on a diff server and started raidin and became known to the guild as Vinx. so now i almost feel obligated to the name/gender on any server lol
mostly, in case someone from the previous server recognizes me, then i can usually hook em up with plat/gear if they want to get started.
my tenure as Vinx is over now i think. P99 is prolly the last Emu server i played seriously.

I never accepted gear (unless its friends, who usually know me and wont take NO for an answer).. but in the beginning it was creepy, when players would start hittin on ya lol.. i learned real fast to let em know ASAP! cuz if you dont...it just gets creepier!

If the p1999 population is 90%+ male(my guess), it's safe to bet that most of those female toons are guys. I(male) play a female enchanter and a male necro, and nobody thinks I'm female after a few minutes of grouping or talking.
