I am having difficult time remembering 10 years ago, but when is appropriate time for a young good aligned druid to travel to Kunark to primarily solo?

You could reasonably go to Kunark as soon as you can survive travelling from the FV docks to whatever zone is of a reasonable level for you. As a druid, you could probably do it at 14.

Was the boat ride to FV, the death run along the river up to LOIO in the low 20s? Yea, it's been a while.

fair warning - travelling from FV -> LOIO has a fair risk of see invis spider death @ low level. DL -> FV -> LOIO however is even worse.

I made the run from FoB to EC to sell bone chips quite a few times before I was even level 10. I'm sure anyone else can do it. Be smart, and patient. Hug the walls and strafe run like no tomorrow!

You can climb on the rudder of the boat from fv to td as an evil, and it will park you on the ship when you zone.

Bear in mind there's nowhere to buy your spells but "back home" - so either bring your next set of spells with you (or the main ones at least) or consider putting it off for a while :)

PS: Don't forget to get a bind in FV (and then at the Kaesora ruins if hunting in Field of Bone).

I think you meant DL-FM-LOIO is worse :) which I would agree

Might as well wait until 19. Get your ports, then go there and bind...then you can port back when you want to do other stuff.

I remember on live i went to Loio at lvl 16 (paladin). I was super excited to go hunt in kunark, the way from FV to Loio was kinda scary, but i survived it most of the time. Only had very few deads on that route, it wasn't that hard.

You could go at almost any level, Kurns starts at about 8-10 and is pretty good exp, but I wouldn't recommend going until 20. You'll find much more consistent groups in Oasis, you'll have an easier time getting your spells, and you get new spells much more often. Oasis takes you to 20, at which point you can go to LoIO where there's usually a group at the sarnak place or otherwise good soloing spots. Kunark travel is pretty harsh and you'll wanna be able to survive a round of melee or a nuke in case something red aggros you on your way somewhere.

I went at 10 as a druid, like everyone else has said, the FV part of the run is scary, I invis and be sure to con everything that moves and some that dont, I have found that the initial section from the town in FV up to the zone in area to LOIO is the dangerous section, if you choose to go on past it and hit the zone in for swamp of no hope its pretty safe from there, and the run from swamp of no hope to FoB is pretty easy, so once your past the creepy drachnids, its pretty much just time and distance.

The Overthere has mobs as low as the low-teens, and hardly anyone hunts there at that level; you'll have zero competition. The XP is glorious, too.

Probably the best advice here. Hit LOIO then OT and kite til your eyes fall out :)

Thanks for the suggestions. I think 19 plus ports and spells to make travel back to Kunark not reliant on a possible boat trip to Butcherblock the best option. Thank you for the suggestions.

As I recall, one of the most internet famous warriors of Everquest was a human. While the large races do have advantages in tanking when it comes to stuns, humans are extremely viable. Hell we had a wood or half elf warrior at some point. It was some kind of elf, they all look the same to us lizards.
