This project was never intended to replace eqclassic.
Did you get your fix or what?

Gnomes make the best drink.

If the system is broken to be more harsh then classic, then it's low priority. In this case, it is! Even though longer meals have the shortest duration, you can still eat lobster every night you'll just eat more of it.

I've literally never bought anything other than water flasks and rations in the 24 years I've played everquest and it's totally fine and I don't care.

They probably had plans to add temp stats to food and just never got around to it. I know when I played other emus you could get food with stat boosts

This is literally the role of baking from day 1. Also the pickles guy in freeport sells stat food.
Stat food is working AFAIK, just the durations on food is all the same.

This exists on P99

You’re all wrong.
The stat boost only shows up on the UI.
It is a client side visual.
This is a bug.
They never fixed it.

Oh, man, if the stat benefit is an illusion and only on the UI, then maybe nothing in the pixelverse is actually real! You have me questioning my entire existence now!!!
Hell, maybe I've never even completed a quest because there's no Quest Journal to prove that I have.

Surely most people here don’t know the story of green grocer. I think it’s time someone told it.

It's not a story the P99 staff would tell you

I've heard the name when people make reference, but no idea who green grocer is or what happened that made him\her\they\them\zim\zer so infamous

The short version is that he was a stand-up member of the community, both in-game and in the forums. Among other things he was known for his EC gambling innovation, "the wheel of meat" (ie. pay a few plat to /random for different meat), but just overall he was an active/friendly community member.
But then he got overly invested in the game, had some sort of issue with the staff, and quit angrily. But, he didn't just take his toys and go: he launched a series of DDOS attacks against the server in revenge.
His fall from "good guy" to literally trying to stop everyone else from even playing was a true P99 Shakespearean tragedy.

Used to be a great dude but yep this about sums it up. He also spent time doxxing staff and players. I think most people would have just moved on.

Ping Fuzzlecutter has an underground fight club I'm not supposed to talk about.
A bunch of level 1 gnome warriors running around Freeport fist fighting anyone who claim that gnomes don't make the best drink.
It's a riot.

Imagine still being upset about that 8 years later
