If you choose "other," please leave a comment. Ideas for cash camps can be found here (https://wiki.project1999.com/Treasure_Hunting_Guide#Coin.2FTrash_Item_Camps_.28 to_be_sold_to_vendors.29)(Thanks, Loramin!)

Bracer of the Hidden and Gazughi aren't good cash camps, they are slot machines.

Ice Giants are really good for a Mage, especially if you can camp all three spawns. Fill WR bags with FS weapons and run over and sell to the Shaman vendor at the Temple. Can often find people buying IG Toes for wort pots for 30-50pp apiece. And if you really wanna be pro, throw on as much STR gear as you can reasonably manage so you can really load up on the raw plat between bank runs (my Human farming Mage used to run around with 154 STR. Full Netted Kelp, TBB, etc... there is a surprising amount of decent gear with both INT and STR that is ideal for a farming Mage).

You're welcome :)

Also, while it may not be the best. Grobb is a decent option for Mages also, especially if you vendor farm 35 stacks of wolf meat (https://wiki.project1999.com/Wolf_Meat_for_Wista) (so that you can vendor without leaving Grobb).

Droga is easily the best out of these, it's the top active cash farm you can do clearing green trash. Ice giants and Hill giants are okay but even at their best are probably only half as much as Droga. Loramin is right about Grobb, and Kelethin guards are also decent plat per hour.

Another spot to consider is Mistmoore gargoyle farming, it's equivalent or slightly higher than the city guards and has chances at some sell able loot as well.

Always consider having to bank / vendor. It takes time out of the farm and causes you to lose certain camps .

I would stick with city guards or droga. The stackable gems and skins are worth it. Goblin gear can sell for 30p for certain pieces. Replace the gear with gems / skins when losing spaces . or call it a day and vendor / bank.

Dorf heads can be a nice farm, but a niche market like toes / skins.

Bind at ice giants, hammer when bags are full, vendor, gate. Never lose the camp

This lucrative camp list highlights one of the reasons I created the class warning thread for new players

Not a lot of options for mages at 60 other than to wait in line for the raid loot.

Hill Giants and Ice Giants are camps you do when they give exp, not at 60.

As someone who has leveled a mage to 60, just don't bother leveling a mage to 60.
You die just as fast after a da train at 60 as you do at 55.

Epic mage on live Prexus server were weapons in comparison to other pet classes. Even non epic were lazy farming class.
Necro was classic fear/snare guard farmers for pp.
Wiz was niche group or quad soloers.
Chanter were groupers or memblur KS kings. Maybe this was just personal experience...
But very few peeps farmed (and knew ALL the ins and outs of various camps) to the extent we do now.
Something is different.
Either other classes were worked (likely) out or Mage was nerfed (possible).

Experience from jan 2000 - around 2004ish
I spose this is the problem with using memory for evidence.

This is how everyone who actually played in the classic era remembers Enchanters ... it wasn't personal experience, it was how the game of EQ was.

Though the team has done an amazing job, P99 has lots that's still unclassic, and probably always will be. Of particular note, the entire channeling system here makes channeling far, far easier, and as a result Enchanters, Shaman, etc. are more powerful.

Can chime in on this one. Have been farming the bracer for a long time now. Parsed drop rate is 0.30% meaning you need to mow down ~330 legos per bracer. I have gone 30+ hours of farming without seeing a bracer.

That's dirty. I thought I was hard done by waiting 12 hours for an OOT Ancient Cyclops before quitting.

Well, not 30 hours straight. I'm stubborn but not insane.
