Hey all.
I originally played EverQuest back in the Kunark-PoP era and loved it. I recently found this website through another website and the idea sounds amazing. I pulled out my Titanium edition and have it all set up and good to go. I just made a Gnome Necromancer by the name of Psychedelic. I also have a level 5 Human Bard but I decided I should choose something a little more solo reliant until I can get him some twink gear or make some friends.
Either way, was just introducing myself and wondering if someone might be willing to give me a welcoming hand. Thanks.

Haha, can't say I never came back to try it again. It's that kind of game that just leaves a taste in my mouth that keeps me coming back for more.

My best advice is to hop in IRC and ask for help there in the form of questions (not petitions)
I'm in there often, as are a lot of other cool people.
It may not be instant but it may be faster than the forums or in-game.

Thanks for the advice, definitely will do that when I get on tomorrow. Gonna get some sleep now though.

It's good to just keep open and shoot the shit while camping/grinding too.

If the only reason your not playing your Bard is due to soloing concerns you should check out the Bard thread in Screenshots section. Bards are the best outdoor solo class, and fastest solo lvler, it just takes time to master. Plus Bards are just plain awesome.

Check out this page (http://www.eqtraders.com/sources/source_zone_page.php?article=g89&menustr=110000000000&sz=1005). Just hit Ctrl+F and search for [backpack] and you can find all of the vendors who sell them in Ak'Anon.
And welcome to P99! =)

Thanks for that page, should come in handy.
I think I should focus on getting my spells first though...right?

Buy at least one or two backpacks, they're only a couple gold each and having them will increase your ability to make money early on.
