First and foremost, how long does Intensify Death last for? I've heard 2, 10, 30 minutes and even 2 hours. No one has the same answer. Can we get a consensus?

Kunark people, where did you do 27+ at? WW Giant fort has become semi-slow @ 27 and I can tell 28 is going to be brutal.

Can you split the iksar exile camps at WW map (http://www.eqmacwiki.com/eqatlas/warslikswoodsmap.html) locations #9, 10, and 11? I did 28 and 29 kiting camps 9 and 11, 10 was a bit low for my level at the time. You might try those.

PS. I am a bard, not a necro, so idk how that might change things for you.

Pet hastes tend to last from about 3-8 minutes depending on the level.

Idk why you wont take my advice. Its like 4 minutes.

Pet hastes tend to last from about 3-8 minutes depending on the level.

I promise you it does not last 8 minutes at lvl 60. 5 tops, leaning more with 4/ 4.5.

It's nothing personal Slip, I've just literally heard a different answer from every single person I've asked. A spell faded message would be pretty friggin helpful.

I did fort to 29 then moved to FM fort.

The duration in classic/kunark was never longer than 10 minutes, if that. Anybody that is telling you its longer is quoting from numbers after the durations were increased at some point. For example, Augment Death is listed on allakhazam as a 1 hour duration but it was nowhere close to that during kunark on live.

Unless you're lucky to have a clicky pet haste its really not worth it to keep it memmed unless you're farming or about to pull a named.

As far as leveling goes, brutes in the cave to dalnir slowed around 31, WC rangers weren't bad mid 30s (or misty thicket wall guards)

P99 wiki says it lasts 3.4minutes @ lvl 24 to 7.5mins @ lvl 65

Also, if you think the WW fort is slow at 27 I weep for you when you start to hit hell levels.

Absolutely disagree. 30% extra pet damage for a hundred or so mana is pretty much the most efficient damage you will ever get as a necro.

Intensify death is the best spell ever. Even if you have to cast it every 1 or 2 fights, it makes a world of difference.

Although you are talking about soloing in Kunark, at 27 the OOT sisters was great in classic. At 31 or so (can't exactly recall) I did Overthere until 39 and then I did troll guards in Rathe Mountains until 47.

Sisters and trolls are both constant killing with so little downtime you can barely med back to full in between spawn cycles. Both spots are less appealing to an iksar I imagine, as selling the weapons/ringmail is tricky in those zones.

4 - 4.5 minutes seems right to me also. I seems to cast it every 3-4 fights it seems. It's pretty noticeable when its not on.

Only damage spells I use in a group are lifetap/drain and augment death (and undead nukes if fighting undead. My mana is generally better spent being pumped into a cleric to keep the pulls coming. If a cleric doesn't need more mana, your group probably isn't optimizing it's xp gain.

Intensify / Augment death is never not on my spell bar, the dps increase when it's on vs not on is incredibly noticable. After 53 levels I've come to believe that my Augment death lasts about 5.5-6 minutes. I use the lich timer to keep track and recast every 6 minutes.

Not sure about the necro line, but mages burnout line is definetly worth casting every 15 min, since its a huge dps boost. Even with a ds'ed fire pet, burnout shortens fight quite a bit. most of the necroes i've grouped with do keep their pet hasted when soloing/duo'ing

Not hasting your pet is a huge dps loss. That is all. Yes, its annoying at low levels, but its still pretty important.

if you're dps is coming from tapping, and you're pumping the cleric instead of pacting the tank.. umm.. you're doing it way, way wrong.
