Will picking Rallos Zek as my deity make me kos?

I'm rolling a barbarian warrior. The deity isn't as important as the pros and cons that come with the choice. If I pick Rallos Zek then I hear I will be accepted in Oggok but will I be KOS elsewhere? If so then can I raise faction with who I'm KOS with? Would Agnostic or The Tribunal be a better choice when it comes to faction?

Crakneks have a massive neg to barbarians - even bigger than humans.

Zek is largely tolerated, except by followers of Brell.

The nice thing about Rallos Zek is you will start as dubious to the Kael Giants in Velious. Normally you start as KoS. There are a few good quests you can do if you are not KoS to the Kael Giants.

Unless you have a shiny set of kael armor mqs waiting for you, just go agnostic imo. And even then, kael faction can be obtained regardless. I wouldn’t risk it.

For what it's worth, I have a Gnome Warrior who follows Rallos Zek. The West Freeport Guards are Apprehensive, and the North Freeport Guards are indifferent. I don't think Gnome by itself has enough of a modifier to say that will be different for Barbarians. So you should be fine in Freeport and Qeynos at least.

As JimJam points out, Kaladim (Brell) may be an issue. Unless you want to do the crushbone belts quest, there isn't much reason to go to Kaladim anyway. It's not a long journey to get to Greater Faydark if you need to find merchants and a bank.

I am not sure about Erudite factions, if you wanted to try going to the Warrens to level.

Haven't found him particularly hated anywhere you wouldn't expect. Not kos in kaladim anywhere

What’s a rallos barb’s starting ot outpost faction? Potentially a nice option for getting hammer easier.

Yeah Kunark is simpler from what I remember. I don't think diety matters as much. If your race is generally considered good, you go to FV. Otherwise you go to Outpost. I could be wrong though.

That makes sense. Gnomes can be evil or good, so they would be more likely to be accepted in either place. Barbarians are always good, even the rogues.

Zek is surprisingly one of the most neutral and accepted religions. As a human I can go to neriak, oggok, grobb, as well as all of the human and elf cities. Avoid the dwarves.

I didn't notice any RZ issues on my human bard, but I didn't look too close as he can use a town full kos, and I picked RZ with the idea that killing everything would fit with the lore.

If you made your character before live released their new faction page (around 2018), your character's starting faction with other cities may be a lot different than if you created your character after that.
