Blue Monday is the name given to a day in January (typically the third Monday of the month) said to be the most depressing day of the year. The concept was first published in a 2005 press release which claimed to have calculated the date using an "equation". It takes into account weather conditions and thus only applies to the Northern Hemisphere.

Yesterday was way less depressing for me than memorial day. My birthday. The day before new years eve. And the day after Christmas (where I was in psychiatric shock from being in proximity to the people I dearly care for).

I think the study is bunk. And unscientific. People don't have to be depressed. That is a choice we make through our actions and beliefs, or lack thereof. I should not need to say these things or be this verbose. Buttt...

Conversly ~Nov to April~ are nail-bitingly anxiety inducing. It's a dangerous time for me as the changes to routine and invasion of boundaries and close interactions with others stretches my strict pacifism and non interference to It's absolute limits. Not to mention the demands of others challenge me in physical ways in which I struggle to keep up and alert and present enough to mitigate accidents or physical damage to self and others.
