MQ:Paladin Epic turn in Question

I am a few steps away from earning my Fiery Defender. I have a clan mate that has the tainted sword from the Hole. Is it possible to MQ during the next step or does he need to have high enough faction for the turn in?

You can definitely MQ it, check the wiki to be sure but I think you only need indifferent faction for the sword cleansing.

On Blue a couple months ago I killed Keeper for fun. MQ’ed to a buddy by invis on hand-in with an Inny human cleric. Worked no problem.

Also, worst case you are out an easy mini quest bucket of water from Freeport. Definitely worth the gamble.
