Have not done my epic since live. Did partial on blue and red.

Butt yeah when I did it on live it was pretty much solo. No MQs. Did get some parts while grouping.

I got Earthcaller MQ from my guild, but it was free and I had been present for plenty of SEOC drops so yeah that just felt legit.

Did monk epic myself, obviously got help from guild / friends on a couple of fights. People usually happy to chip in on monk fights (I always am).

Not really tried warrior epic on p99 - i already done it on live so don’t care too much to repeat it.

You don’t really need to pay for your epics if you don’t want to. Maybe not even pay ‘dkp’ … but you will need a way to get the right group if people on your side.

I have three and didn't need to buy any part outside of dkp.
Enchanter, guildies helped with my vessel sock. I did solo my own vessel kill. Prince was done on a royals "crusade" where we do epic targets for people that need a small raid force,which Prince doesn't but is easy enough.

Rogue, someone in the guild grabbed a book for me and we did general on another epic crusade.

And the big boy one, my warrior epic.
I got my green scales from hoshkar, other bits were mq'd from various people who had them laying around.
I hadn't done any part before I got my scale,and had the rest done in about a week.

In short if you join the right guild that does this stuff you do not need to buy any part of an epic if your patient.
Being friendly,personable,patient and helping other people with their stuff goes a long way.
Help that druid that's been asking for help killing triggered fay, maybe he'll help you one day.

Also have three. I paid for one part of one on my Monk primarily because I was too lazy to deal with the pipe drops in Chardok and KC.

I did the full quest on Jayya around level 52. First completed epic in ALS, one of only a few we did as a solo guild before joining Hydra. Helped a lot being a rogue.

Ended up stealing my book from Hate since we weren't strong enough as a guild to do a hate breakin. General fight had Ainton tanking it with a 3 second CH chain and almost dying as a level 54 warrior in human cultural armor. Had 24 people in the high 40's to low 50's show up for the fight.

I only did druid because I was 52 and wanted to zoom bear pits to 60 / fashion.

Stopped at soulfire on paladood b/c ToV weapon, necro a waste of time, and if I were still playing today I'd probably be going for war / bard scales.

Were you root/rotting or charming down there? I need to get my 54 druid to 60, but no epic and probably not enough patience, I'm too used to that enchanter life. I know there's some cool charm stuff to do at 60 and you're not just a buff bot, though I do enjoy helping out.

charming, but definitely some rooting and rotting going on too... epic helped out a lot but not "required"

i could hold down both upper and lower solo

Tunare DS gloves are a must-have tho, velious bp/wrist clicks too, snare earring from chardok if you dont have epic.

i think bear pits as a druid is actually more forgiving than anything of equal level on enchanter

hit up any 60 druid for a potg at a ring, gate right back, profit

Yeah I don't have earthcrafting gloves either. Got snare clicky, drones, 200 hp heal (ES greaves) and lumi staff. I just lost interest in the druid for a while, but that sounds like a plan going forward.

If you can get em, the DS gloves really amps up the charm game.

all of my characters have their epic besides my wizard, but including 2 warriors and 2 enchanters

i paid for the majority of all of them, i only did some of the easy free steps in each.

Would do it exactly the same way next time

because gnarled staff is like one of the very few epic pieces that is just litearlly never for sale

You've left him out of your sig

But anyway, was that for raiding purposes that you got PLed to 60? Otherwise why even make the char just to get PLed to 60 and barely play it

I been working my cleric epic for a few years on green, but not yet. I have to do the fire elemental dude next, then theres a pretty impossible step followed by another pretty impossible step.
