Yeah, the moderation and support in paid MMOs is crap, by far. I haven't seen a game where GMs actually cared about how things were run, except for here on P99, classic EQ, and UO. Outside of that, no one cared, and there are no guide programs in modern MMOs. :(

I'm glad the guides and GMs here are at least active, though I've had maybe only one interaction with a single GM so I can't vouch for their actual performance. ^^;

I would like to think that it has something to do with why the gm's do what they do. At a place like that or on live EverQuest, they are people trying to earn a paycheck who probably don't give 2 shits about you or any of the playerbase outside of earning their check. Here it is is all volunteers where the only real reason to do it is because you support the mission of the server as a whole, and you care at least somewhat about the playerbase. That's right Uthgaard, you love us deep down, admit it! :P If Amelinda didn't care she could just quit, it's not like this is putting meat on the table for her or anything.

Edit: Just using Amelinda as an example as she is the most forum active gm I think so she sticks out in my mind the most!
