Dyes for armor.

I know dyes for armor aren't classic but I don't see it affecting the game at all.

one thing about classic is the noticable armor colors, i think rubicite is well known and held in a different regard because its a different colored plate. If we just allow dyes for any armor, itd ruin a part of classic eq imo

Armor dyes really ruined the game at least as much as the Plane of Knowledge. It may not affect game-play, but that doesn't mean it doesn't affect the game.

Some people just don't have that same connection to classic that the majority of us do, and this thread shows it.

Have you ever seen a cleric running around in purple armor and said to yourself, "They've been spending some time in hate." Ever been that player with armor that is identifiable and feel good that you no longer look like you did at lvl 10? Remember when there were "Velious textures" that were new and different, and every faction (thurg, kael, dragns) had their own color scheme which you could learn to identify?

Those are the little things that we miss. They are the little things we feel nostalgic about, and play on this classic server for.

I was just wondering how everyone felt about about the subject. Yes i played this when it was classic. So you earned your purple armor. i was thinking you can buy the dyes for 1k pp just for some of your final suits of armor.

The only dyes should be the fine plate dyes. You want to look good, you gotta suffer crappy stats!
