Been playing just fine for months. Today whenever I select any P99 Sever and hit Play Everquest the screen freezes and then I get kicked back to Login screen. I can connect to Any other server but when I try Red Blue or Green all same result. Tried across multiple accounts, no luck.
Is there some kind of file I can delete and reinstall or something like that? I've played on and off for 10 years and never had this issue before.
Any advice is welcomed!

Do you have an AMD processor? You may want to see https://wiki.project1999.com/Tech_Support#Problem:_Return_to_Log-in_Screen_After_Server_Select (also other suggestions on that page may help).

I do use an AMD processor, I got into the BIOS and I couldn't find where you can change the "CPU Ratio" its just on Auto. Anyone seen this before?

I don't have such a motherboard, but https://www.reddit.com/r/overclocking/comments/ryxbld/ryzen_5_3600_not_boosting_cpu_core_ratio_locked/ suggests you can try hitting "-" (on the "Auto" BIOS setting) to change it, or that you might need to adjust your power settings first.
Also, as noted in the wiki page (and original forum thread), the free VirtualBox software can solve this if BIOS changes aren't an option.

The fact that you've played for months on (I assume) the same computer without issue leads me to believe it might not be the AMD issue. Do you know the speed of your processor?

CPU Speed is 4.06GHZ
I was able to get into the BIOS and adjust the CPU ratio to 41 ( was at 42 ) and NO change in result. When I click on ANY p99 Server the screen freezes for around 15-20 seconds then kicks back to the Login screen.

I'm having the same issue. I'm on a new AMD build Ryzen 9 7950X

I've underclocked the CPU as well, all the way down to 4100, even 3900 and no dice. I'm almost convinced its something on my accounts end.

This is my first day so I've never successfully connected, but I might be having this problem as well.

Hmm, can I not edit my messages here? LMK if there is a way.
Well I downclocked the CPU ratio to 41 and the game runs now. Sucks I need to do that back and forth all the time, but whatever.

I know this sounds dumb, but click on auto and just start typing. There is no indicator that when you click on "auto" that it's editing that.

I was able to do that and have my CPU underclocked but it did not change the issue.
I'm not comfortable with the virtual machine setup so now I'm looking at maybe getting an old Intel machine up and running, but I'm not really looing forward to a P99 dedicated machine
