Hello all,

I've recently been lucky enough to pick up P99 as an avid oldschool MMORPG player who missed the boat back in the day. One of the issues I have run into is that the EQ UI does not scale well with high resolution monitors. While some people have done some awesome work in upscaling the UI, I decided to try using a favourite program of mine with some great results.

The program it self is called OnTopReplica and it creates a replica window on your screen which can be scaled and cropped to your desires. I have previously used this with older programs to take bits of different windows and stack them all together on another monitor or to have a semi-transparent VLC window over games while I'm playing them.

The basic setup I use for P99 is the following:

1. Run P99 as your normally would, in window mode and at a resolution of your choosing (I usually use a slightly lower resolution than my monitor and scale up with OTR)
2. Launch OnTopReplica
3. Right click > select window > everquest
4. I like to put this window into borderless here
5. Scale the OTR window to the size/scale of your choosing
6. Right click on the OTR window and choose advances -> enable clickthrough. This should allow you to play p99 on the scaled window seamlessly, obviously the bigger the difference in your windows p99 and the scaled window the most offset the mouse actions may become so experiment.

Other thing
You can create multiple OTR windows. I personally find no matter what I do that chatfontsize 5 is not big enough regardless. I like to make a separate OTR for my chat boxes, scale them pretty big and put them on my second monitor. This has saved me a lot of eye strain.
