I keep on getting error that the spells_us.txt file is not correct and wont let me load into character screen. Ive downloaded the recent patch files multiple times and replaced files but still showing me that error. Any ideas on how to fix?

Are you applying the patch to the correct folder?

I am getting the same issue. Clean install, downloaded the P99FilesV59.zip and extracted them into the Titanium directory, deleted the required files and I get to the login screen with all the servers listed but errors out with the spells_us.txt error. I have tried grabbing the spells_us.txt and dsetup.dll from earlier versions like posted in some threads but nothing is working.

v59 is not the correct patch. Make sure you are getting the most current patch from the front page

Ugh, I was looking at the latest posts in the News section.

I'm getting the same error as well and I did update to the newest patch. Even with the newest patch I am still getting the error.

If you are still getting this error, then the patch is not correctly being applied

Want to make sure you got the right EverQuest folder and that the patch is overwriting files contained within

I'm having the same issue with v60.

Out of curiosity, what is your install directory path?

Mine: /home/plato/.wine/drive_c/Program Files (x86)/Sony/EverQuest

Linux I assume? make sure that the dsetup.dll and other files are all lower case. I know there used to be an issue with those files when the first character of the file name was upper case. Not sure if that is the issue anymore, but something to check.

Thanks! It appears everything is formatted correctly. Same error appears when I retried just now. I used v60 zip file too.

dsetup.dll needs to be renamed to DSETUP.dll

You have it set as this?

Nevermind, figured it out.
