Rude Camper / Players

How do you guys normally handle people who dont respect sharing camps / zones? I've been stuck at level 42 for 4 days dealing with an enchanter who is pretty much camping the entire oggok city and poaches all of the guards whenever they spawn? This is my first and only character and it seems unfair.

Go outside to Feerott OP, head to the south west of the zone where the spectres live. They're good XP til 46-47... each spawn there has a number so ask for a CC and see what numbers aren't taken (low numbers at the entrance getting higher as you go to the Fear portal).

id say make a petition to the GMs to reduce the vendor cost of the guards sword and shield for balance reasons. its already good exp, why have good plat as well?
a rusty and a regular round shield would help keep the competition down

The Feerrott spectres are 7 separate camps. As an outdoor zone, you can only claim one spawn point. However, you can also kill any that are not being camped.

The same should apply to Oggok, btw.

And yeah, as other posters suggested, you should make a list of options and try them all. Especially useful for a druid or wizard!

You could go to Cazic Thule, and kill at AOF Courtyard, that camp is dark blue to 46 lvl, Splitpaw Snakes down by the Hidden Gnolls, judges area, Spirocs in TD dark blue to 50/51 easy

Dire wolfs, Snow dervish in Ice clad around the portal dark blue to 44/45. Spiders geos in Crystal caverns . Yeti in Dread lands. are a few spots.

What class are you? If you're soloing, cruise on over to Butcherblock and kill the various Kaladim Citizen faction dwarves. The faction doesn't affect your ability to go into the city at all. They drop occasional armor and weapons that you can vendor at the Druid ring.

The 4 in the huts by the shore and the 4 at the docks (on the docks and in some of the huts) are like 12 minute spawn timers. There is a stone ring near the docks with a few of them on 22 minute timers.

Oggok Bouncers have fewer hps, drop more cash on average than specs, and there are at least 10 of them / cycle that you can pull w/o any trouble vs 7-8 specs in Feerott/ Oasis

I out compete the other people, when I win more than they do it doesn't take long before they leave. Understand the actual rules of the PNP so you know what you can and can't do (and what others can and can't do). Play within the rules and play better than the other. If you can't do it then you are the one that needs to leave and find a different spot.

Is it a time vs plat drop vs respawn rate vs time to kill that makes this worth it?

I dont wanna do it, i just find it funny that what is worth it to one person is complete dogshit to someone else. Surely there is a more efficient plat farm at lvl 50 than lvl 15 guards.

Depnds on how lucrative it is. Before their respawn timers were nerfed, I regularly killed the misty thicket wall guards 50+ if no one was around. They netted you 500-600pp an hour, and weren't as heavily contested as something like seafuries. Sadly they have a 30 min respawn timer now instead of a 6 min respawn timer. You can't do that anymore.

A lot of it depends on class and play style for where in the world you can most effectively farm plat but I think the thing that always holds true is you'll get rich faster by leveling to 60 then farming plat versus farming plat and then leveling to 60.

I do agree that purposely trying to farm plat at a lower level on camps that aren't good XP is generally lower yield than farming at 60.

That being said, leveling on guards is an efficient way to level and farm plat. I leveled quickly and got thousands of plat by leveling off guards from 25-55. My Shadowknight financed a good chunk of my Shaman's leveling gear, items like JBB.

Especially if you're a caster that's going to need money for spells, some of which are research/drop only and can be quite expensive. You're going to need to combine plat and XP at multiple points.
