We're doing Carnival this time; I don't think we've cruised with them since our honeymoon, so we're giving them another try. However we've done several cruises with Norwegian, and they're always nice. Last time their steak and fries lunch was so tasty, my wife and I ordered it the entire cruise!
Let me know if you want any tips (this will be my 3rd time going there).

We are heading back to our old stomping grounds where we met. Visiting the Groton Pharma campus where the magic all started.
Then heading to stay at Foxwoods to go to the new Great Wolf Lodge for the water and adventure park.
Then back to Canada.
Everyday is a holiday in Australia. I can literally stay home and let the tourists come to me. All 17 of them.
I prolly wont get a park in the main street cuz its a weekend.

Alaska cruise sounds fun, I never been on a cruise before
Hopefully you get to go on land and explore a lot. I feel like I might get stir crazy confined to a boat all the time. But I do hear there’s lots to do even on the boat, er ship

Cruises are kinda weird, I went on one in the bahamas once and got really sunburned and bought a conch shell. We had dinner with the same people every night because I think they were in the cabin nextdoor, so you kinda become friends for a few days. There are always strange sex vibes in the air. Remember to get back to the boat before it leaves because they just go and if you miss it you have to explain to people wherever you are that you missed your cruise ship and nobody is sympathetic at all.

Ya, I heard that before about getting stranded. I already am not a huge fan of traveling or foreign places in general, getting stranded would be such a nightmare. I’d make a beeline to the US embassy to phone for Trump to come save me
From what I’ve heard from family members the food is amazing and in big quantities on cruises, so they sit around and eat all day and gain like 10lbs. I hear there’s gyms on those cruises but my fam is pretty much completely against working out at all while on vacation, not even the athletic ones. So they just sat and ate all day on cruises and got fat
I’m going to be working out like crazy in SD. Place is like a meat market already, and every year the hottest get hotter. Gotta try to come correct

Did my first run to the pier and back today. Told myself, NOPENOPENOPENOPE, start slow, this is your first run. Don’t push it. You are wanting to be able to do this every day for a week on this hard concrete…
And I did the opposite. I went fast and pushed it 😕 lol. But don’t feel injured (yet). Hopefully won’t be too sore 2moro

I've sailed Carnival to Mexico when it used to go out of Mobile, but that particular cruise no longer operates on that route. Lots of dudes in camo and people shouting ROLL TIDE on that boat. I later read it was rated the very dirtiest boat of all US-sourced cruises.
I am open to tips, this one out of Seattle will be the longest cruise I've had yet. It'll be my sixth time on a cruise.

Gotta try to come correctThe food is pretty intense even on crappy cruise lines. They do usually have decked-out gyms but I'm usually just on the treadmill or something in the mornings, unless the boat has a track on one of the upper decks - I'd always rather do that kinda thing outside if I can.
The main thing a lot of people have trouble with is the motion sickness, but that only happens to me on the first day, briefly. There's drugs but they can make drinking tricky, so I use these stupid bracelet things that may or may not work: https://www.walgreens.com/store/c/walgreens-motion-sickness-relief-band/ID=prod6168015-product?gStoreCode=5989&gQT=1
I think of all the things I don't understand about some people, the one I understand the least is the lack of desire to travel. I've met some people that don't even want to leave their home county and it's some tiny town in south Georgia that isn't even big enough to sustain a McDonald's. I've worked most of my career in travel-related industries and still do, but I'm generally game to travel almost anywhere, especially if I haven't been there before. Getting stranded can be a blessing in disguise, I got stranded in Amsterdam like 20 years ago and ended up having a great time.
That being said, I have no intention of ever returning to Arkansas if I can avoid it. If I ever get to go to both of the Dakotas, I will have been to every US state. Next year we're gonna try to go to Costa Rica if the plans work out, and for our 10th anniversary we're gonna try to go to Bora Bora, my wife's bucket list destination.

as someone who would rather stay in my tiny town in south georgia that isnt even big enough to sustain a mcdonalds over traveling, i'll say the main reason for this is...
1) price to travel not worth the joy received -- i'll spend a few thousand dollars and have maybe 1-3 good memories from the experience. Whereas at home, that few thousand dollars stretches to many more good experiences
2) you have to deal with crowds, people, and socializing -- all mostly negatives
otherwise, sure, traveling is fine :)

I'm an ambivert and the wife is an introvert. I don't like crowds but I don't go out of my way to avoid them, either. I do find engaging strangers very fun, I am that dude at the airport bar who talks up whoever is nearby.
That's all good if it works for you, but I'd like to mention that you can totally do vacations for a few hundred bucks.

Always been of the same opinion. Traveling for me was ruined in my childhood a little by my dad who would meticulously over-plan everything and then self-destruct when things inevitably went wrong. I just made the association then that travel = stress and it’s never left me
But you and I are by far in the minority with that outlook. I can’t even mention my dislike of travel on at least first dates because it is basically date suicide. I used to watch the girl’s faces just drop and know I fucked up with that one. “I love to travel” or “I want to see more of the world one day” is hands down one of the most relatable and useful things to put on a dating profile. But I won’t do it because I am not going to lie
But having gone to every state is pretty impressive ngl

I don't necessarily like or dislike travel, just depends on where we're talking about.
I'd love to see the grand canyon, or the pyramids. I do not want to see every stupid little town in the netherlands or whatever. Snooze me a river, danes.

I have a massive fear of heights too but not in planes for some reason. I actually love flying in a window seat on a clear day, it's cool as shit. You somehow shed the fear because you know you'll either land completely safely or die quickly in a fireball.

lots of people refused to go to the party because of satanic energy or something. i'm not a mason and was never invited to be one but it just seems like boys club crap to me. i think of that secret society in the righteous gemstones. that's about how seriously i take it, except it's older and has more famous members.

Father’s Day Dad and I went and saw that Ballerina John Wick movie. And being that this is the first movie I have seen since Top Gun Maverick, I feel highly certified in doing a review. I had only seen the original John Wick movie like once, but I was still more confused than I expected to be, plot-wise. The action was so highly stylized and very cool looking, but so unrealistically so. Not sure if it’s due to the meta skillset progression through the past 6 or whatever movies, but I was thinking ok so is this like a comic book world or, or what. I’m not a military tactics specialist but I’m pretty sure the best in the world special ops aren’t able to do any of this shit. Oh and first off maybe I should led with that I had no idea this was going to be about a chick. I figured Ballerina was either some figure of speech or maybe a nice car or John Wick in a tutu
The setup is basically a Kill Bill re-skin. Girl becomes super assassin yadda yadda. I just didn’t expect John Wick to almost not be in the damn thing. When he does come in, in the very end, his presence is magnetic. Character has some kind of a tired slouch at this point in the timeline but his presence commands the screen, and he steals every moment of the 32 seconds of screen time they gave him. Damn he wasn’t nearly that cool in the first one
But this chick is throwing knives and axes perfectly from any direction into people’s faces, and blowing people up with grenades while perfectly blocking it with an upturned table I’m like come on. But credit to the actress, her fight scenes don’t look stupid. Like she can still do some unrealistic crazy shit, but they make it seem like it’s because she’s such a super assassin, and she mostly uses weapons unless karate fighting little Japanese men in a dance club which is so action movie cheese I loved it. It’s not as bad as other movies and shows that have these petite women kicking dude’s who are twice their size’s assess in a fist fight or some dumb shit
Overall I give it like a C+, but that’s because I had no idea WTF was going on with the story because I stupid
Then after went to Oreganos and got their meat lovers pizza and omg sex party in my mouth and all of the pizza was invited. That pizza was so fucking good I was considering completely shifting my life plan and going with yknow what I’m going to eat this all day every day like those 600lb life people and die in 3 years and it’ll be worth it. I don’t normally eat pizza like, ever
