Here is what happened. I bound my 56 Druid in the upper bear pits. I zoned in late at night and both upper and lower pits were fully popped and unclaimed. I prefer upper pits so I started charm killing. I know there are videos where other Druids show how to kill 3-6 mobs at the same time but at 56 I feel far more comfortable just doing two mobs at a time (one pet vs non-pet and root/rotting both when my pet is near death).
I can clear the entire camp in 12-15 minutes allowing me just enough time to med up before re-pops. Cool.
Another player zoned in and took the lower pits. Also, cool. He decimated the lower pits in record time and then came up and killed the mobs in the upper pits that I hadn't gotten to yet. It ended up where I was getting 4 mobs per round and he was taking the rest.
Is he allowed to do that? Are the upper/lower pits recognized as legit camps or are they FTE?

From what I can remember they are two distinct camps and should be respected as such. But today people will lawyerquest "line of sight" and shit like that.
I used to full clear both before repop on my druid, so I can understand why he came up top to poach. Just try talking to him. The best thing to do is to group with him and you guys can mow down the entire thing with no disputes.

I never understood people that wanted to split it.
Just group, don't worry about having to break bears for XP, mow it down, nice long AFK, repeat. If another person shows up 1 person can go down and 1 stay up til the 3rd person leaves then just start again.
Camp is only big enough for 2 druids max.

This. I levelled a few toons in bear pits, and the only time I ever went up top after clearing bottom was if nobody else was there.
If you are up top, there are 2 spiders, 5 wolves and 2 bears (1 being possibly a wolf) that are in line of sight. By the camp rules of p99, that makes them a single camp.
Anyone who tries to debate this is a douchebag - but lots of the end-game players are douchebags. Like the douchebag, Pigy aka Vasanle - and the douchebag Stunnifer who both claimed that City of Mist was an outdoor zone, so other people (besides them) can only claim a single spawn - while they clear whatever they like.
Wipe these fuckin servers, Rogean.

I didn't make a big deal out of it at the time. I was just wondering if I had a legit case to ask him to leave the upper mobs alone if it happens again. I know with camps like this you tend to run into the same players for awhile as 55-60 grind is BRUTAL, LOL.
Thanks guys.

Sammo mentions all the mobs in upper are in line of sight, so by PNPs dungeon rules that makes them all a single camp

Yeah just see if you can group up and mow both down next time, its way easier to capture full exp and less stressful.
Sounds like an uncool move by the random dude, but definitely try talking next time. A lot of people when called out on their BS will have some semblance of self-conscious (unless you are at the raid scene).

The bottom ones are LOS, the top ones aren't (unless I'm misremembering, since I leveled there years ago).
Without knowing the details of which mobs he took, it's hard to say for sure, but it sounds like he might have been an asshole, but not a rule-breaker.

Would love this drama to unfold on Thursday Knight Fights!
