What client are you using? Is this a fresh install?

Was kinda hoping for 1 or a few files that control this that someone could post/link me to that I could do a copy/replace one for a sure-fire fix; as my spell effects and particles in game were un-changed.
hint: I did download the two files to see what the hidden forest server was like, was utter crap and I tried my best to remove what it added/changed. had to use the duova all in one installer just to be able to play on any server again so that is status of my file system.
Yes I am kicking myself for just not copying the directory before I tried out THF for all of 3 minutes lol. =(

Can you try to move the eqclient.ini file out from the Everquest folder (move it and keep it safe as you will want to put it back if its not the issue). Start EQ up again and it will create a new default ini file (chat colors, UI settings, game settings etc).

Can you not just do a fresh install? And obviously it was any files that downloaded/replaced when you checked out THF. Just do a fresh install.
