eqhost file

i know this isnt the place for this, there is already a similar post in tech discussion.... so i replied there and havent gotten anyway responses....

im reinstalling on my laptop and when i try to save my host file after changing the loginserver it tells me.....

"cannot create C:\program files(x86)\Sony\EverQuest\eqhost.txt."
"make sure the path and file name are correct."


any help? thanks.

have you tried copying the file to the desktop opening it up changing the needed info then saving it at the desktop then cutting and then pasting back into the EQ folder? if not try that and see if that works

It's a permissions "ownership" thing. Inherited parent folder permissions.
