So i haven't played in a few months and i came back to lvl my druid in WW and i was wondering if there was a major nerf or something because why don't root and snare stack? why don't creeping crud and stinging swarm stack? why do dots do more damage when mobs are rooted? why are db mobs resisting 5 nukes in a row sometimes? and why do giants run at sow speed? this all seems a little weird and not how it should be someone plz help b4 i delete!

EQLive had it for a while in classic where Snare/Root overwrote each other. Very irritating.
Eventually that change will be fixed, but it probably wont be for a while =(

nerfs.
-dot stacking. 1 dot of each line will stack (one fire and one magic) excluding es arms.
-moving dot damage. moving targets do not take full dot damage.
-resists. Resists were changed awhile back, sucks but yeah.
As for the fast giants..??? my guess is a goblin shaman is the culprit.

Just use root and keep them rooted.

This. I only use snare for pulling because mob AI when snared and having no aggro (IE through zoning or Egressing) will stay in place. So you can single mobs to zoneline quite easily and stick them there with snare.
Rooting is the way to go by far.
And Root Rotting / Quadding are the slowest exp methods possible. If you want to exp fast, learn to use charm. If you're just interested in getting a drop from a mob go for root rotting. If you are just able to devote 2 or 3 minutes at a time then have to afk for awhile (while cleaning or studying or reading) go for quadding.... but if you wanna grind learn2charm.
should just delete him now besides being a port whore
hmm maybe... depends
If your guilded or have a steady group of friends to xp with (or like to solo exclusively)
then keep em, you will always come in handy
If you like to group alot, but solo during slow times
Then delete, the min/maxers of P99 will chose shaman > druid in any scenerio

According the the developers' understanding, druids are now as they were at this point in the timeline of Classic. Why should two magic-sv DoT's stack? Creeping Crud is an upgrade to Stinging Swarm, not a separate spell line. And ya fo real: if you are solo grinding and aren't charming animals, ur doin' it wrong.
Dunno about your problem with the giants .. that sounds unusual for P99. Are there are any mobs at the fort that are druids or shamen? They may be buffing the other giants with SoW. Maybe try dispelling a giant before you begin fighting him.

I wanna say late SoV? Or maybe all DoT's start stacking then? I'm not 100% sure, that could of very well of been SoL too.
