I lived in Beverly Hills for a while and the snobbishness there is unparalleled. I couldn't stand it. I felt like I was surrounded by Barbie and Ken dolls, and my apartment/area was straight out of a television drama.

pretty close to my experience living in echo park, except it's a hipster ghetto with cholos that still hang around for some reason, and all of the problems that go along with that.

If you live in California you have to live in either Socal or the Bay for it to be great (though admittedly I like Socal better than SF)... once you get into the area from Bakersfield all the way up to Stockton... ugh.
