How often do you see a halfling that ISN'T a druid? Like 19/20 halfings is a druid.

I remember once on live I was in a raid group with a wood elf with melee weapons and I was like "Hey could you twist in a little mana song?" He informed me he wasn't a bard. I was like whoops my bad. A little while later I asked him for a SoW figuring he must be a ranger. Turned out he was a warrior. I had to double check some books to confirm that was actually possible and he wasn't just pulling my leg.

There was a long running joke on Brell similar to that. This particular Wood Elf Warrior was always referred to as a Ranger...guess you had to be there.

My main on Live was a halfling warrior. Didn't matter if you were decked out in full plate, dual-wielding weapons, you still got asked for SoW. : )

Your agnostic ogre warrior KOS in Qeynos regardless your personal believes :D

I was a halfling rogue throughout my EQ career, and every once in a while just for fun I would put on a suit of leather, a rusty scimitar, and a shield and put on /role. Whenever anyone asked me for SoW I would /em "Nubben's spell fizzles" a few times in a row, then tell them sorry, out of mana.

Haha, agreed!
I still have trouble discerning whether every gnome, dark elf, and high elf I see in a robe is an enchanter, mage, or necro. I always just assume they're enchanters and bug them for haste anyway.
A while ago down in King Camp I was grouped with a half-elf warrior pal that kept getting Clarity from the enchanter under the assumption that he was a Ranger. When the half-elf exclaimed that he wasn't a Ranger I made sure to send a tell to the enchanter saying that he was just joking and still needed C. =P
Hi, my name is Vohl, and it's been ten days since I ate my last gnome. I know it's difficult for many of you to believe this, but gnomes are friends, not food.
Halflings, on the other hand, are food. They have a nice Jumjummy aftertaste, and don't leave gears and sprockets stuck between your teeth.

When I was leveling up in my Robe of the Oracle I'd get asked a LOT for Clarity...even when running around with my pet right there.
Best ones are when an Enchanter/Wizard clicks an AoN and just kinda sits there with lev on so they can hide.

I remember a couple Halfling brothers from live. A warrior and cleric combo. Their guild was, "Burn Erudin"

Halfling = Paladin + Ranger
Gnome = Paladin + Shadowknight
Those combos came during Velious or Luclin iirc. They were not options during classic/kunark

Ahh, that explains it. The halfling exp bonus would help make up for the palladin's exp penalty...interesting.

When I used to afk in the EC tunnel I would constantly get tells asking for SoW even while I was dual wielding piercers.

Enchanters are pretty easy to recognize since most of them are holding Rod + Stein

Or how about the assumption that if you are in wolf form you are a druid and can port...
Have received three requests in the last week...
I'll have to use Wolf Form more often. Casting haste when someone requests SoW would be good for some yuks.

I saw people asking DE's for SOW and fully armored trolls/ogres for clarity on live. That likely won't happen here.
