:(WTF! Is it normal that the enchanter summoned pet continues attacking after a mob is mesmerized? I don't have the option to tell him to back off... i can only terminate the pet. I don't want to terminate the pet. So, do i just live with it, or is this some special feature of P1909?

this thread is pretty lulz, but ya working as intended, enchanters pets in classic were very...hard to work with.

The only command you can give your summoned animation is /go away. Don't use an animation if you intend on mezzing, it'll kill you more often than not.

Yea, never beneficial to have a animation up if your going to be mezing a lot.. In a solo situation if you do have a animation up make sure you mez the mob before it has hit you or the pet. Then the pet won't attack it until you break the mez yourself. If the mob has hit you, just use root.
However in a group situation you pretty much never want to have an animation up.

I pretty much just used the animation to solo to 12, then charmed to 39, then used the animation again. Hint- the 39 animation is SUPER FANTASTICLY OP. Just dont mez anything on its hatelist.

This is pretty standard when your pet is a sword and shield and has no head.

I didn't read this thread but watch out for people with pet names. It means Uthgaard changed their name.

Pretty much, just be careful not to be too close in case root breaks.
For charming, if you intend to charm solo, you'll need a lot of +cha gear. Charming mobs near your level is very unreliable without a high cha. Get 200 if you can twink to it; after that, +hp gear.

Grouping is your best bet for now. The higher you level up you gain more and more tools to successfully solo.

Charming is rough - the biggest indicator is your level. I've noticed almost no difference with CHA, playing naked or geared, that would warrrant me dropping massive amounts of INT for it. If the mob is a white con, or 1-2 levels below you, you're not holding it long, regardless. 200 CHA will not change that. I hold low DB mobs for 3-5 minutes without issues with 137 CHA. You will never need to hold a charm solo that long. One of these days, I'll write a decent charming guide, but from 12 on that should be your soloing tool - dotting just takes too long with Choke. Or a good group, as always.
