With the new client changes possible, I wonder if it would be possible to kill the Compass window once and for all?

Bind a turn/strafe key to a hotkey slot with sense heading in it? Durr.

I am sure that if they can remove the compass, they will. It would not be a big priority of course but if it's trivial to do it may get done sooner..

If they removed it that would be awesome,well imo because i like the classic feel. I usually just close it by using ALT + D

thought I remembered seeing the compass before I quit... I quit playing after kunark was released but before any other expansions came out

The compass window doesn't even really work - it meanders left and right randomly. You still have to use the sense heading hotkey to set it. And ofcourse the clouds... and dropping a sword on hte ground; are alternatives.

thats exactly why removal of compass window is pointless - people knew where the North is from day 1, without any need to use Sense Heading

Day one compass goes all over the place until your sense heading gets to 200.

Besides didn't compass return in velious? seems kinda pointless to remove it only for it to come back.

If you don't like it Simply turn it off.
