New to P1999/EQ

Hello everyone! I just wanted to stop on the forums and introduce myself as a new player on the server! My MMO life began with WoW many years ago so I have never played EverQuest before. My husband became enthralled when he heard about Project 1999 and immediately picked up playing it. I didn't that when he was a kid, his brother brought home this new game one day and he gotten hooked immediately. His life took twists and turns and he ended up quitting, but always wished he could play again as an adult and truly appreciate it for what it once was.

He's a Marine and currently deployed but wishes he could play every day. He suggested that I start playing because the community is awesome
and it would help pass time until he comes back home to me :).

He suggested I play a Magician because of the ease of play and I am slowly learning the ropes. You'll find a few of my corpses lost somewhere deep in greater faydark :P.

I do have one suggestion for you - Stay off the boards as much as possible. The community in the game are incredible, one of the best groups of people I've had the pleasure of playing with.

The boards on the otherhand, not so much. There's a lot of toxicity on the boards and it can get you down quite quickly.

Just a suggestion, take it with a grain of salt. Enjoy your time here :D

Welcome to P99 Jessi! EverQuest has alot of differences than WoW Project 1999 rather. Mages are great for gameplay and are easy to solo. Kope knows it :P stay away from the forums theres alot of crap that goes on. If you need anything do be afraid to shoot me a tell ingame my characters name is in the signature. Enjoy! :)

I'm only halfway through level 2, aka literally just starting. But if I eventually catch up and ya have room for another, I'll keep tabs.

Community is great in-game, the forums aren't so bad with new people...but alot of trolls lurk beneath these rosey walls.....

Hopefully you stay and enjoy everything EQ has to offer :) If you ever start getting tired of it or needing help, lots of people are willing.

Semper fidelis, I am a Marine(2002-2006) that plays here. Great server. Stay out of rants and flames (its poison) other than that the majority of the server is good people.
