An external buff timer. Apparently this little program was designed specifically for Everquest quite some time ago.

My only gripe, for some reason it doesn't display the fifth buff timer.
I think this program is great. If you are like me and have a spare monitor to look at it with and hate having four different timer programs going at the same time in order to keep track of more than one buff.
