Serius opinon her Alcoholic drinks worth getting at bar

I don't know jack shit about mixed drinks. Infact I usually tell the bar chick to suprise me. However, it has been fail. I say make me something good and special gives me a captain morgan and coke. I'm like thanks I could've made this shit at home... So on the serius note can any one give me some good drink names and a description on them. I'm not picky , but I want something that takes some mixing and not something I made in gradeschool. Thanks ~ Visage

Mixed drinks are classified into a couple different categories...

There's soda drinks, milk drinks, juice drinks...then everything else.

Soda drinks are things like rum and coke, jack and coke, 7&7 (Seagram's 7 with 7UP), scotch and soda (it's club soda, but it counts for this). Most bars only do things with cola because it's the norm, and all they have on tap.

Milk drinks are stuff like a White Russian (Kahlua, vodka, and milk), grasshopper (it's minty), anything with Bailey's

Juice drinks are stuff like Tequila Sunrise (tequila, grenadine, OJ), screwdriver, red death, vodka cranberry

Other stuff...snake bite (yukon and lime juice- usually done as a shot, it doesn't go in the 'juice' category because no one drinks lime/lemon juice in large quantity), any type of shot drop drink (jager bomb, car bomb, etc), drinks that involve only alcohol (blackberry brandy + hot damn, slippery nipple, etc)

1/4 oz Frangelico
1/4 oz Godiva Caramel

1/2 oz Hershey's chocolate syrup.

Shake well Rim glass with salt Strain contents of shaker over ice into glass Garnish with a salted pretzel

(i dont do the salt rim or the pretzel thing, basically, i just make the drink and have people lick salt off of their hand before they take the shot.. you can do whatever.)
