My time has come to leave norrath permanently. I joined this server early last year and have had a blast experiencing the content all over again and getting to see some zones that I never got to see during my time playing live. I'm about to enter into a new chapter in my life and simply will not have time to enjoy everquest the way I like to.
I would like to thank the dev team for providing such a great server. I really can not put into word how grateful I am to have been given this opportunity to experience the nostalgia all over again. You have really created an awesome awesome server. I loved being part of a community of players that share the same passion and enjoyment I do for this game. I really believe there isn't a game out there like everquest. It is truly unique with the way friendships are formed and how everyone (usually) helps each other out.
My favorite part of EQ has always been the item give aways and GM events. I have been fortunate enough to attend a few of these and the thing I like about them the most is seeing the community as a whole working together and having fun. It puts things into perspective for me and reminds me why we all play this 11 year old game together.
ANYWAY, I had a RL friend come to a give away a little over a year ago and he happened to win the grand-prize of a manastone. They were worth approximately 70k back then and he gave me the MS to sell. He then proceeded to quit about 2 days later and I was left with all the money. This is the event I'm talking about. I am leaving EQ for good, but before I go I'd like to pay it forward to the community and give the majority of my stuff away. Hopefully you guys will put it to better use then I will. I have approximately 280-330k worth of stuff I will be giving away tonight. The grand-prize will be a MANASTONE!!
I have already given my main's account and some other stuff to my guild/guildys so do not bother PMing me asking for anything. My mule's name is Dexen and I'm sure some of you have seen me in the EC tunnel, because I have been there often. It is currently 7 PM eastern. I plan on hosting the give away in EC TUNNEL at 10 pm eastern time.
TL;DR: I'm giving away free shit at ec tunnel at 10 pm eastern, be there...
P.S.- I have no idea how I'm going to do it exactly, so don't ask and don't pm/tell me for items/pp because you won't get any no matter how new/broke you are. You will have to attend the event like everyone else and win one fair and square. I am well aware that some people are already well established plat/item-wise, but I am not willing to play cop and discriminate between who should get an item and who shouldn't based on what they already have. I will try to make this as fair as possible, so please spare me any bickering.
