Who on Earth is Dagarok and why did he just one hit me? I'm a half elf bard, with really good standing in Qeynos after killing a million gnolls... or so I thought

He is part of the Corrupt qeynos guard faction. He killed my Wood elven druid once too before i could even see it was him. Best avoid. With that being said you'll want to avoid Guard Quedal in south qeynos who is annoying as fuck. he paths from the docks to the clock tower. Also Guard McCluskey in West Karana at one of the guard towers is Corrupt and will kill you pretty fast.

you can raise faction with corrupt guards (and FP militia, and highpass guards) with no negative faction hits by turning in orc scalps in highpass, just fyi
