Because Rogean has never been a fan of being open about private matters. They are GM-related matters, and goes hand in hand with why they don't make general suspensions or bans public (not usually atleast).

Anyways, thats the reason...am I a fan? Nah..I'd rather see it. But I'd also like to see IP Bans for cheaters who got caught after the first time

Worst part is, its almost certainly people who weren't around for the summer bannings. They come back to check out red99, load up MQ (because of course, right? completely agree that 80+% of the server would be using it if not for the summer bannings) and BOOM, banhammer. Lolz.

Really underscores how unfair it was to not ban the first wave over on blue99, but w/e, that drama has been played out at this point.

and its useful for many things , example

you can literally open the software and type #whonpc and it will show you every spawn in the zone ( great for stuff like phyzjin in QH )

im anti software but i used it in kod'taz on titan , helps finding named in those not so friendly buildings

Am I suppose to know what it is after playing EQ for about a month for the first time in 10 years? I didn't play since the end of Velious on live. If you knew anything about me you'd know that I had about 0 knowledge about anything a few weeks ago. I'd ask my guild and people I met in game about every little thing. But now after a month it seems I already got WAY WAY WAY more knowledge then the average player when it comes to questing, drops, pvp and pve since I'm the one being asked things in game now.

If a player can just simply change accounts and/or ips. Then the fair community will feel like they are the only ones not hacking, and you put pressure on those who are on the fence to just go ahead and jump over because there is no punishment relatively.

Not disseminating information in regards to confirmed hackers encourages hacking - plain and simple.

You would think with the amount of time sink it takes / will take to level a toon, you will be less likely to put yourself in a position to lose all that time spent.

Honestly, naming them just creates more drama and the staff has to get involved in more drama than they should. It should just be that a decision is made between the player party(ies) and the staff member and that's the end of it. It doesn't need to blow around on the forums and shit the place up.

Just be glad they can effectively catch people in their free time and deliver you a great server!

That said, try to bring it upon yourself to play legit. Honestly you might come up with something "fool proof" 3rd party implementation wise but the staff can still obviously watch you and tell if you're cheating.
