The legend returns. Null is coding the "Red 99" server now, which is a classic PVP server coming out in a few weeks after months of code / testing. Youll remember a lot of folks over that way pretty quickly is my guess.

Do the game mechanics on these servers still lend to more monks or warriors being online at any given time then all the int casters combined?

The server is gettin balanced pretty well as far as casters vs melee goes.
The melee is on the P99 code so they do not do more damage than they should like in all the tzvz emus in the past. Resistances are being tweaked pretty often to try and get them as accurate as possible and give everyone a fighting chance.

This server is going to be the greatest as far as EQ pvp goes, and probably going to be the end all of eq pvp.

just got back from the gym, my body sure feels ready.
unfortunately though, the fact that i'm living it up in London for the year and enjoying a relaxed european research life style may lend me to spend more time travelling and enjoying actually having free time to do things like go out for a change, rather than being couped up inside, but i'll probably make an appearance to at least give a shout out to all the old garage boxers.
who knows, maybe i'll get back into it. i do feel like it must have been calling to me, since i hadn't bothered to see if the server was alive for 2 years, then a brand new shiny server about to go up, full of old timers is what i find.

Its classic brew, home of the casters. Not the unbalanced hit-rates or damage of VZTZ. Necro Booglie will thrive. And I most certainly killed you, no trains. Thunderclasp = winning.

In true message board fashion, I refuse to admit I was ever killed any other way. Except maybe if it was by a monk. Or a warrior. Or anyone else who used melee attacks. Or an epic mage. Or I was drunk. Or not paying attention while studying. Or if I had to go answer the door for the delivery guy.
Probably mostly that covers it!
Man I would be pumped for the start of the server, but my gf flies out to London to spend a month here with me starting the 19th, and by the time she leaves I fly home for the holidays, so i'll miss all the early server fun.
