Is it possible?
<object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/aKLGLYB8e9M&color1=0xb1b1b1&color2=0xcfcfcf&hl=en_ US&feature=player_detailpage&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/aKLGLYB8e9M&color1=0xb1b1b1&color2=0xcfcfcf&hl=en_ US&feature=player_detailpage&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>
I see that html is disabled, understandably, any way to bypass?

I don't know who implemented this originally, but are they around to embed SoundCloud?

I believe you use the embed tag, and only include the video's ID:
embed aKLGLYB8e9M /embed ... but with brackets:
aKLGLYB8e9M
However, your video appears to be removed.

Hey, Loramin. I wasn't the clearest and I apologize for any confusion. The OP was since implemented with the [embed] tag which works for Youtube but not SoundCloud (it seems). I piggybacked off this thread that somehow wasn't locked to ask my question, which is, may we add Soundcloud embedding?

Hopefully the guy that asked that 16 years ago sees this

<embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash"..>
Suddenly I feel like watching Homestar Runner cartoons or visiting YTMND/Newgrounds.:)

Why would anyone necro a 16-year old thread just to ask a question ... today?

I'm usually just that good. But if there's no dev to approve or deny either way then I think it's worth bumping a relevant thread just to ask.

What benefit is there to asking a different (but tangentially related) question on an ancient thread vs. just asking a question like a normal person (ie. in a new post)?

It shows I searched the forum and cared enough before posting to look around first.

From my end, it looks like you went out of your way to complicate what was otherwise a simple question ... but to each their own ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Ty tech bear.
Anyone that's been in IT for a decade plus is snarky. If it's two decades - well, then you're in for some trouble...
