Wipe is not necessary. plat is a fiat currency about as worthless as the US dollar.

it's only purpose will be recharging golem wands and minor tradeskill goods. the eventual economy will mainly be a barter system like all the past boxes.

if you have trouble buying spells as you level up, you are bad at EverQuest and/or have no friends.

Now that I've left Fish Bait after there were 14 out of 24 people in Misty in the guild and I couldn't even get people to form a counter gank group against 4 people who were running around killing everyone...

I reported the box quest. So shut the fuck up. I could have just not petitioned about it for a week and then you would really have something to cry about as people would be running around in full steel plate with combine weapons.

P.S. GMs I think I deserve a title for petitioning the quest. I'll take "the Pure" or "the Legit". Thanks.

That quest was on BETA, that quest is on Blue99.(or was)

The only real problem with that quest is that there were not enough mobs around for the new characters to kill. So people did that quest, obviously some more than others. Maybe modifying the reward to not yield as much plat as often is a good idea. However,Using EQ knowledge for gain..i dont see anything wrong with that.

My Buddy and i were lvling in the Feerot, doing the lizard meat quest last night. By doing that quest while lvling for 3 hours maybe abit less/more,
we had enough for banded armor for my shaman and his SK

Given the amount of lizards running around out there in the feerott you can gain plat easy and lvl while your doing it.

At lvl 6 you can go to wisp island and make a good deal of plat....

the point is...where do you draw the line..

Red99 is still Everquest ..just cause its red doesn't mean you don't employ
your blue skills for your benefit..there are many quests out there you can
do to make some plats..

This is really old post. But the fact that the quest is nerfed really is stupid. There are hardly any skeletons in that zone.. noob halflings can't get cracked staff plat. Feerott noob plat quests still work great. There was no reason to nerf this. On beta we could box. I 8 boxxed this. It isn't game breaking when you can't box, but it does leave halflings with barely a way to get spells when you can't do it.
