Age is not an important factor although it does weigh in. There are more content specific 'red99' backlinks for here (http://www.project1999.org/forums/showthread.php?t=53363) than there confirmed.

No reason to try to get #1 result for a search term where the #1 result is already pointing to your server. Free advertising.

Aged domain actually is pretty important and the backlinks as well. Lots of content on the website itself and on the thread. Combine those factors and that's why it's ranking high. Not sure what a plugin could do that would overwrite the already major three organic factors above ^.

Gaining #1 on "classic everquest" however was a good move Rogean. Much worthwhile.
