So on EQPlayers, it is said that SOE is banning people for cheating / hacking. Ive heard from players on Live that people are getting the perma-ban already. This is good news because when I was on Live during there free-time session, ive seen a lot of cheaters, which is the reason why I switched to Project 1999. Do you think this will improve the quality of EQ Live? Im debating on playing the Fippy server now since it is at Luclin, but I dont want to pay for a game that cheaters took over and ruined.

Also, I didnt know what the "Box of Abu-Kar" was until I played P99. I remember looting it from captain boshinko when I was on Live during free time thinking it was nothing special. I wonder how much that thing is worth.

They talk big talk. I doubt they will follow through though.

lol they opened luclin week of 11/22, and all bosses to open pop are dead as of 12/4
I want luclin as much as the next guy but that's way too fast to blow through it imo.

Well...the cheaters (Twisted Legion) are going to be banned now hopefully so then they wont be able to blow through shit. Also, isnt there a voting process to extend to the next expansion? I doubt people would want to go beyond PoK

I thought the bullshit of that server was prevented by a 90 day window with a vote?

The Fippy server has a 90 time lock until the vote, which is nice. That means that PoP will open sometime in Feb.

If it is voted on that is, which I hope it is and it stays. Ill quit again if it goes further

Sony EQ is dead. Their customer support let people down far too many times over the years for it to be worth playing, even on Fippy. While those of us who aren't inbred mongoloids would like to see Fippy stop at PoP, it won't. LDoN is going to happy (probably at the same time as PoP, actually), and GoD/OoW/etc are all going to happen because that's when characters get ridiculously strong. It's also when the game started to fall apart.

do you think there is a way to convince the population to stay at PoP? maybe stating that the expansions after that are the reasons for inventing progression servers???

Sok, POP is a massive block fest, might take them a while to blow through it because of all the flagging you would need to do to progress as well as quest for keys. And Plane of Water you can screw the encounter by floating the zone with people.

Im going on EQ LIVE Fippy server for a while since I had the annoying urge to do so. Ill let you know if it isnt worth it or if its still infested with cheaters.

I have to admit, Fippy server is nice now since they suspended over 700 accounts for cheating. However, the servers population tends to be at the high levels. Although this is true, I did manage to find groups easily while leveling up. I played the server for about 50+ hours and im already lvl44, which cant happen that easily in P99, unless you PL'd. Boxing is allowed and doesnt really disturb me unless people are 3+ boxing. There is one lonely, no life SOB who is 13 boxing raid mobs. Other than that the server is pretty cool and the people are nice.

Well the worst hacker is Sony. Chopped up the game maybe 10 years ago.
But the last thing I'd worry about are hackers. I played for years and years until I quit in 2010. While I saw a few hackers on pvp, it wasn't a probelm.

So go play on Fippy. I think you're trolling.

the time lock (thats the TL in the TLP p) means that the new content will still be delayed for a while, assuming that the vote to open it passes (which it will). Should be in PoP around February.
Aside from less time to get some AAs this is more than enough time I need to spend reliving luclin.
