is it worth buffing a pet with a str buff? do they do any more overall damage?
is it the same with charmed pets?

yes definitely. str, haste, dex if they have a proc'ing weap...those buffs work that same as on a pc. charmed animals too. but careful on the charmed pets...when charm breaks you may not want a super buffed and hasted critter pounding on you.

summoned pets = not worth the mana.
Charmed pets = worth it if you can keep a charmed mob for long periods of time.

Higher str = higher attack rating = more hits in general also more hits for max damage.
