Where did you find that? Could you reference the source or the thread it came from.

Thanks.

(not many rangers... i played a ranger in march 1999 - june... didn't know it was uncommon... i mean with track and some healing and snaring and a bow and some ability to tank... who wouldn't want to play one?)

Around the 6th page I believe. The entire thread is a good read.

Lot of healers, but most of them aren't clerics. Hmm. 207 clr/dru/shm versus 90 war/sk/pal at 30-39.

Anyone made any assessments after looking at it?

Assessments:

We need tanks and crowd control. Stop making druids and mages. Thx! ^^

Why so many druids?

Druids were a popular class on Live as well as on P1999, likely for the same reasons. They feature high ease-of-use, good money-making and solo potential, and fair utility for assisting friends via ports or leveling. It's undoubtedly one of the best 'second' classes in EQ, and a fine main class, too.

I think many druids made one for the sole reason to farm gear/plat to twink out a melee late on. It's my prediction that numbers will even out with time.

To be honest, I think the recent poll might give a better indication of the current distribution as it doesn't inlcude twinks or retired characters. Almost 300 people have voted so far, which should be at least 15% of the server.

In list form as above, the current poll shows:

Druid / Shaman
Magician
Cleric
Necromancer / Paladin
Enchanter
Bard / Monk
Rogue
Warrior
Wizard
Shadow Knight
Ranger

Let's also remember that there are many of us who recently learned of the server and are not yet in the range detailed in the database query. I just started in March and have an Enchanter as my main. So, I just see the list as interesting information which should not significantly impact one's choice of class. It has some utility for those who are on the fence about a class type as it helps them get a sense of the current server population in the upper levels.
