HI,

I'm Elcid. I'm looking into your server bc my EQMAC server is being shut down after nine years of play. I have a few questions... Here goes. I see that 3% of you are running off of Secrets of Fadwar, but the set up says you need to use Titanium. I have SoF and oddly so Titanium is going for 50 to 180 dollars. I'd rather not spend that if I don't have to. Next question... I'm a Mac user. does anyone know if I can use "Bootcamp" with your server. Bootcamp would be running Windows Vista.

After 9 years of EQ on a mac server that has been "locked in time" at POP you guys are the next best thing and Im just not ready to give up my EQ but I can't make my self do the modern version with all the BS and merc etc I hear about.

Thanks in advance

SoF support is no longer provided actually (too many possible exploits). As for other ways of getting titanium, there's a thread about that two threads down.

I ran EQ for a long time on my mac via bootcamp with no problem. I know the virutal windows emulators also work, but they take a lot more work and performance isn't great.

When I used bootcamp it was with XP, and I installed per the instructions here with no problems at all.

Welcome!

As always, your best bet is to rrent it. Welcome to the server.

Hi. I know the EQMac community are fine, upstanding citizens of the world that would never sink to acquiring copyrighted material illegally, but you already own a version of the client, and in three months time the client is going to be free to own anyways, at least through House of Thule apparantly. In that case, I recommend the following:

This lovely server requires titanium. You should look around for it.

As for operating P99 under Mac, see the appropriate forum post: Mac (http://www.project1999.org/forums/showthread.php?t=56238) Linux (http://www.project1999.org/forums/showthread.php?t=14125) Wine (http://www.project1999.org/forums/showthread.php?t=21734)
