RotLC MQable?

I did use the search function before posting, but was unable to find anything recent.

Is the Idol from Raster of Guk able to be MQ'd for the RotLC? Or are Jboots the only item able to be multiquested, still?

I knew someone on EQMac that MQ'd the entire epic to a lvl 1 monk.

IIRC the entire thing can be MQ'd on live.

Oh, and recently Kanras fixed Bro Z and Qwinn so that they drop the RotLC now. I haven't tested it myself but he mentioned it was done.

Most quest prekunark (minus Jboots) were written as not MQable I think.

I wouldn't be too sure it's possible. I know a friend lost his sash trying to do this. Unless he did something wrong (entirely possible i suppose), it actually is not possible on this server.

I have The Idol on me like a year before epics came out, enjoyed wearing it on my druid for +3 wis to mess with monks.. kinda evil I know.

Myself [Andain] and my friend [Zerax] about 4 days ago went to Rathe Mountains. I turned in his Idol, he then turned in his sash and received nothing, both items gone.

As of now I suggest not trying.

Don't think it is MQable because it is was in pre epic, and only epic quests are MQable.

Well are we talking items or quests? Pegasus cloak was in game pre-epics are that can be MQ'd for mages.

I dont see the downside or problem for having MQ open for entire epic chains.

That was Sorric and if i recall It couldnt be done because it was a planar turn in? I think that was the speculation or maybe it was a different piece of gear I was thinking of

The item was correct. But that stage of turn in/quest was not. RotLC was a pre-kunark quest no? Thus not a MQable quest.

as i recall, for live, this was available to MQ for all players at the time of epic release. just bc the item was out before kunark shouldn't change the fact that it can or cannot be MQ'd. I'm sitting on one and would much rather have it go to a monk than rot in my bank

For mq the devs have been very vocal that they only implemented it on specific quests. It requires that they go into the code for each one and change it individually as I understand.

Some quests for items that were available pre-epics, but are used in epic quest chain were retroactively made MQable; a few were mentioned in patch notes such as Soulfire quest. I see no reason why idol and code shouldn't also be made MQable.

That's not really good enough evidence - if you mean wearing the robe itself, that could've just been looted from Bro Z or something, or if it's the epic, it could've been MQ'd by having the level 1 just looting the demon fangs. We know the RoWF and final turn ins are MQ'able, but not the RoLC step.

I wouldn't risk it until a dev commented.

The quest database that P99 uses is not strictly classic, the devs have had to build it from the ground up, trying to be as classic as possible. The issue is, the bit of code that allows MQing of items was not known when quests were initially coded/scripted/written for P99. Someone figured out how to enable MQing with code. All* quests written after this code was developed allow MQing items (including Epic quests), and some quests that existed prior to the code have been rewritten with the MQ code inserted. However, most quests written prior to the MQ code being developed were never rewritten and therefore do not allow the MQ of items.

To answer another question I saw here, it is the quest that determines if an item can be MQed, not the item.
