As I've recently seen a surge of posts concerning monk DPS versus their melee counterparts, I figured I would share a link that I provided to a monk friend regarding some research that was conducted around the same time period the server now inhabits.
Included are formulas for primary hand damage bonuses, default damage/delay of h2h for human/iksar, chance to double attack, maximum primary/offhand damage given the type of weapon you're using (1HB/2HB), and a load of modal calculations that could be used between assorted monk weapons to determine which would provide you with the best DPS, or at the very least give you an educated estimate as to what DPS you could expect to dish out with a particular set-up.
