Login Server?

Is the login server down? I zoned and went disco. Now I am unable to log back in.

I am also having a problem logging in. After selecting the server I get a black window for 30 seconds and then it kicks me back to login screen.

Get as far as server select but won't go past that.

This has been happening for a little over a week now... I've also heard no word on why its happening or if there is a fix in the works. Would be nice to at least have the problem acknowledged.

Server pop went from >500 to <300 in minutes because people zoned or died and cant log back in.

I don't think you have to zone or die in order for it to happen. I was at Orc hill in Gfay with a group and just sitting when I lost connection.

I have noticed this issue seems to happen frequently on saturdays. Pattern perhaps?

Nooooo it's happening again. Well at least to me XD server population is dropping rapidly and I can't get past the server selection screen. That is to say, I choose my server, it goes to a black loading screen for awhile and then I get dropped to the login screen. I was able to log into the game fine like half an hour ago. I was checking to see if I'd gotten the spell effects back to how they were before I setup for the hidden forest.

Rogean is pretty much a world class server adminstrator. You may rest assured that if this problem is controllable by anything at his disposal (and it probably is) then it will get corrected. Mind you, Project 1999 is a hobby for him (although he is amazingly dedicated and dependable) so he can't necessary drop his life to work on it. But I have faith, as I said, that if it can be fixed, it will be fixed. Since the severity of this problem has not been seen in the past (well for as long as I've been here anyway), I expect that it can and will be corrected. Granted the logon server has gone down in the past, but not as often. Of course, any long term EQ player is no stranger to logon server problems - it seems to come with the territory.
