Rate Limit on Tells

Is it just me, or is it ridiculously easy to hit the rate limit for out going tells now?

Im trying to respond to everyone and have my own personal conversation and I keep getting the "You have been rate limited, you can send more messages in ## seconds."

Anyone else?

It's very low... i have to continue conversations in AIM half the time. Someone suggested possibly making it only for characters like level 5 and below if possible which I think is a very good idea if it's possible to put a level restriction.

Have had several conversations already and have not had this happen.
I could just be getting lucky though.
My only suggestion would be to slow it down a bit with your /tells.

I cant send more then 2 tell within 30 seconds talking to someone, and when your a really fast typer like myself it kicks in way too often.

Is there anyway to make the rate limit spam by it being sent through Shift + Up to repeat, not a freshly typed respond/tell? That way it will prevent the spammer, not the regulars?

I was in the middle of cybering w/ my EQ GF while idle in CB earlier today and man it was terrible. As soon as the conversation starts to get all steamy BAM 39 sec rate limit. WTF is that? This is really killing my immersion >:(

i send and talk alot in guild/ooc/say/pm.....i can get maybe 4 messages before i get a nice little "WAIT 40 SECONDS" -.-

Well Uua... you know me.. Im always on a lvl 50. Whether its mine or one of fifteen others.

It wasnt like this, the revamped/changes on Tells has changed it. Ive been testing it, something is messed up or Rogean made it severely limited. Id rather not receive tells when zoning than only being able to send a few tells per minute.

Getting it all the time. Usually on a /tell convo I tend to send some 5 words, continue with "nowait!" and go on with some 5 words again. Like think and type at same time, not make 5 paragraphs each tell. And every 4 tells I get rate limited for some 40secs. Talking with 2 or more people at the same time is semi-impossible. =(

This might make sense for other channels but I doubt more than a few people are getting spam tells so bad it's unplayable.

But it still might be a good idea to leave that limitation on /ooc :)

tbh doing things to prevent the spammer like this and failing only gives him more reason to do it.. he obviously gets his kicks off your rages :]
