Making A Erudite SK......

So I been wanting to make a wierd class/race combo for a while and I settled on an erud sk. Starting stats are pretty terrible for a tank obviously and I know from the /who erud shad all that there's not to many of you out there but I was wondering how bad it is?

I have a level 6 erudite SK, its nice wearing the Flayed Skin armor but looking at stats vs ogres, if you were an ogre instead you would get:

-21% XP
-47 INT
+70 STR
+52 STA
Frontal stun immunity

Ogres have an advantage as a main tank - period. There's no getting around that. But you'll still be a very good tank and you won't look like a fat kid with gigantism - Erudites look pretty cool.

since STR is so low should I go with STR items or just stick with pretty much AC hp? Not sure of there solo capabilities...

AC>HP>STR for any tank
as Erudite you will have a bit more mana than ogres/troll/iksar get, this will help you to get off an extra lifetap or fear when needed. And there are some Erudite specific SK items you can get cheaply that have no alternatives for other races, unless they twink.(flayed skin armor)

Of course for soloing, Troll/Iksar probably do better due to their natural Regeneration bonus, but XP penalty will be hideous.
Erudite/Human are two of the FASTEST leveling SKs, with Dark Elf close behind.

Must also worn you- as evil Erudite, getting out of Odus will be a PAIN without outside help.

Note that it is common practice these days, after the knowledge of 12 years of EQ, to think of Intelligence and Mana as two of the weakest statistics you can have under most circumstances. Erudite is literally one of the weakest race/class choices in the game. Some people enjoy the challenge...

Just be real mundane and roll Human SK.

heh, don't listen to them, it really won't be that bad, rock the Erudite,
push comes to shove, you won't be tanking any raids anyhow,
and you'll be able to tank everything/everything aside from nps,
plus you get some pretty cool Erud/SK only gears...

I would focus on getting AC/STR/HP/STA or you're going to find that you can't tank or wear plate since you can't carry it.
