so ive come to the agreement that my crashing problem is due to one of two things and looking for help on how to fix it, I connect past the server login so i took the comp over to my bros and it worked there using a wired connection but at where i live i use a Belkin wireless usb adapter with a 3g hot spot phone but without any update or changes to the phone or usb it started to not work would disconnect me at the server selection and give me a error 1017 on log back in. anyone have this problem or know of a solution, thank you! :D

Sounds like an option set in your network hardware.

You might want to turn off IP blocking and some other features that sound like they might be hampering EQ from communicating with your computer.

Either your adapter or your phone might have some firewall settings built into it. You need to check them for IP and port blocking.

How might i attempt that also the phone didn't always do this till recently and from what i know it didn't update.

I have no idea how to access your phone's firewall software, if it even has any.

Have you tried it with your phone in a different area? Have you tried it with anyone else's phone on a similar plan? Need to try and rule out the phone being the issue. Do you have Avast? I know that's caused me a couple of problems lately with some EQ files.

don't have any other phones to try it with but i used my bros net at his house and i could log right on so its a block through my phone someplace but can't figure out where havent been on to respond cause i've been working but yeah if i bring my comp to another place it works it use to work with my phone but it just decided not to now lol its Us cellular Galaxy S may take a little for my respnd got alot going on. =]

Are you using ZoneAlarm or any other firewall software? If so it might be worth disabling that as a troubleshooting step.

Got no fire wall enabled just got what ever the classic stuff is on 7 and everything is turned fully off.

Sounds extreme, but have you tried a factory reset of the phone?

Naw I haven't but I donkt know why it did this since it worked for two months and didn't update or anything.

Your provider can easily push software updates from their end without you even knowing about it.

Using a cellphone for internet has a latency like satellite. The problem is most likely timing out before it connects to the world server.

Well I haven't had this problem when I used it for the last two months but I've tried logging on like 40 times and failed all in a row so I'm guessing like he said they pushed a update it's failed like atleast 150 times now in a row. :)
